  1. Hi Pete. Like your moon. Just stopped by for a short hello. Still working on writing my second book. Am publishing my first book soon. Have missed all of my blogging friends, Hope all is well with you. See this awful flu is as bad in your area as it is here. Stay well. I will stop by again one of these days.

  2. I am the only photographer I know that does not run out and โ€˜shoot the moonโ€™… my wife certainly will. Very nice shot ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€. Takes the pressure off me ๐Ÿ˜‚

  3. It’s great fun to see images from around the world. I’m glad you had good viewing conditions — clouds always are a disappointment when these special occurences take place.

  4. What a great shot, Pete.

I forgot all about the moon, but my younger brother emailed me an image of the blood orange moon and it really does look like blood oranges.

      1. It was for me, Pete. My brother has a very strong telescope, so he would have seen it easily, but I don’t know what he took the photo with.

    1. Hi Pete,

I would like to second the comment of Vicki.

This moon in your photo reminds me of the Super Blood Wolf Moon that happened on 20-21 January 2019 at North America, South America, Western Europe, Northwestern Africa. You can see videos of this said moon at my post entitled “If my name were Moon tonightโ€ฆ”, published at https://soundeagle.wordpress.com/2012/10/02/if-my-name-were-moon-tonight/

Happy October to both of you!

    1. Thank you, Jill ๐Ÿ™‚ It was a beautiful and peaceful moon, and appeared to be at its largest on rising. I did see it about 3:00 in the morning, but although smaller, it was very bright and awe inspiring.

  5. Great picture of the moon, Pete. ๐Ÿ™‚ I wish I had my old camera working..It had a fine zoom … Nowadays, I can not take good pics of the moon. But am comforted by seeing yours.
