A Photographic Journey Through South Staffordshire
Pale Tussock
Callitearapudibunda – This is an unusual moth as moths go, quite a bundle of fur which will happily sit on your finger for very long periods if you allowed it to. I have always thought it has quite a charming scientific name which kind of rolls off the tongue.
I was going to compliment the feathery feet, but I see that the featheriness stops farther up the legs, leaving the feet free, no doubt the better to hold on to its perch.
This one really is furry!

It was nice, it is in Sweden too but I have never seen it. In Swedish it is called Book Spinner.

This one looks like a furry rabbit gripping the tree bark (with a funny leg haircut).

He must be mimicking a comment I made one time about some moths being ace as soft toys.
