These are beautiful summer flowering plants which can be found growing  along roadside verges, in hedgerows and field margins, meadows and other grassy habitats.

  1. I’ve not seen the Musk Mallow before, but the Common Mallow grows everywhere.
    Now that I’ve seen the two in your post, I think I like the paler Musk one. It looks very delicate.

  2. I just found these growing in my yard. I’ve never seen them in the 6 years of living here. I would like to relocate them to a better location where they can be admired but I’m afraid to do so without really understanding them first. Your photos are striking and the actual flowers in bloom are magnifique!
