The way the fungi attaches itself to the substrate (no stem) meant I couldn’t really get a good shot of the topside, but I much prefer the shell-like shape of the gills.

Although these are fungi, cute ones at that, they remind me of Diatoms.

The mushrooms in the first picture almost seem to glow against the dark background.
