Glyphotaelius pellucidus (Retzius, 1783)
FW length 12-17 mm.
The forewing of this caddisfly has a distinct notched outer margin. The sexes express dimorphism with differences in wing pattern.
The adult is seen late April to June and August to October with a summer diapause. Found often in woodland in pools and streams. Common and widespread throughout Britain but scarcer in Scotland.
