Crescent-marked Lily Aphid Aulacorthum (Neomyzus) circumflexum

Species Information
Body length 1.2-2.6 mm. This well-marked aphid is typically shining nearly white or pale yellow to bright green. Dark thoracic cross bands and a dark horseshoe shape on the abdomen make for quite an attactive aphid.

A very polyphagous aphid feeding on a wide variety of plants, and can be a pest on glasshouse crops and ornamental plants. It has no sexual stage in its life cycle.

Appear to be under recorded, but is most likely common and widespread. A non-native species but now established in Britain.
