Hybrid Bluebell – Hyacinthoides x massartiana

This bluebell is a cross between our English bluebell (Hyacinthoides non-scripta) and the Spanish bluebell (Hyacinthoides hispanica), which is native to Spain. It is quite variable in colour, and is most likely more common than the introduced Spanish bluebell.

It flower April to May, and can be found in hedgerows, ditches, roadside verges and woodland. Common and widespread.
