Family Noctuidae » Subfamily Hadeninae » Melanchra persicariae (Linnaeus, 1761) 73.270 (BF2155)
Wingspan 37-40 mm. Quite a distinctively dark coloured moth with white kidney markings. ds on a wide range of plants. The adult flies July to August, and is found in various habitats, including gardens.
