Family Argidae (Fused-horned Sawflies) » Arge nigripes (Retzius, 1783)
Length 7-11 mm. The black adult has darkened wings and entirely dark legs. The larvae are green with two pale stripes down the back and a pale brown head. The larva feeds on roses. Seen April to July in hedgerows and garden. Common and widespread.
