Clouded Border


Lomaspilis marginata – Yep … it’s a moth and not a butterfly, believe it or not. Quite a delicate looking moth with brown markings which can be quite variable.

    That’s a fantastic moth, so distinctive, and more fringing. I’m much more tuned into moths these days because of your blog. Pity I don’t see many different ones.

    Another fine entry in the category “Moths are beautiful too, not just butterflies”. While maybe not as showy in most cases, the pattern and colors of moths are truly lovely…well, maybe with the exception of the bird dropping moths. 🙂

      🙂 Thank you, Steve 🙂 From a young age I have always has a fascination for moths and other small critters (I think you probably guessed that already 😉 and moths have always held a particular interest for me.
