Our Star

The more clearly we can focus our attention on the wonders and realities of the universe about us, the less taste we shall have for destruction.

    • Thank you, Sandra. 🙂 I really loved the Panasonic Lumix back then. It was an all in one camera and quite versatile, and fairly good in low light, but something went wrong with it. Now I much prefer my Nikon D7200 with my Sigma 105 macros lens for close work 🙂

  1. Hi Pete. I noted you didn’t use special effects but I’m amazed how pink the sun is. Would you say the pink sun in the capture is a fairly accurate representation of what you saw with the naked eye?

  2. Lovely image. While I’ve seen pink sunsets often enough, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the sun actually pink. That’s one of my favourite of Rachel Carson quotes.

  3. I saw Linda’s comment and echo that. Pink skies yes but never a pink sun. An unusual combination of clouds and light gave you what may be a once in a lifetime shot, Pete. Awesome. A wonderful flashback.
