The Drinker

Euthrix potatoria – An unusual moth. This is the female of the species. The name comes from the habit of the caterpillar which apparently has a preference for drinking drops of dew.

    1. That is the way the moth rests during the day normally, head down, and hoping nothing notices it. The name comes from the caterpillar which like to drink drops of dew.

    1. Thank you, Jill 🙂 This was taken quite some years ago with an old Panasonic Lumix. Life was so simpler then without the need for changing lenses 🙂
