Garden Snail (Cornu aspersum) – A common garden snail we may have all seen at one time or another. I do have a thing about their shells, and shells in general. I love the intricate details, the patterns and earthy colours of this one in particular.

Just beautiful, one can not duplicate nature. It is the original artwork.

I too like the pattern on their shells, especially with regard to shell’s architecture based on the Fibonacci sequence which, as I’m sure you know, shows up in so many ways in nature.

You know I like shells, although mine are usually the marine variety.

Yes, I know Pam. I like marine shells, too.

Snail shells are interesting spirals and the inner chambers are cool as well. Most gardeners are not happy to see them but I wouldn’t mind finding one or two in ours. We do get plenty of slugs though.

I got plenty of both, too many really, yet one has to be grateful that they don’t eat everything they come across.
