Rainbow’s End

These two photographs show the same stunning autumn rainbow which appeared as a part of a ‘double rainbow’ … there was a fainter one above this one. Unfortunately I had my macro lens on at the time, and I know how quickly rainbows can fade. So I grabbed my camera and took what I could. I wish I could have got the whole arching rainbow in all its magnificence … and even the one one above it, but at least I have these.

    Beautiful rainbows. We are suffering a literal scorched earth here. I hope to post a rainbow when rain eventually falls 🙂

      Thank you Annie! Yes, it was not that far away, and if it wasn’t for the fact that it was probably somewhere in someone’s backyard I would have gone searching for that pot lol! 🙂

    Rainbows are difficult to photograph at the best of times so we’ll done. We saw a fabulous one over St Ives bay on Monday, a ful arch and the water was a beautiful cloudy aqua colour, but I was driving and there was nowhere to stop.

      Thank you, Jude. It’s shame you couldn’t snap your rainbow down there. There is always a time when you wish you have a camera in your hand.
