Thank you Simone. It is one of the seven natural wonders of Britain. I had alreday took a lot of photos of the Needles, and as I was heading back up the cliff I spotted the speedboat and really liked the way it swept an arc on the waters.
You shot the top image at just the right moment. Great composition. The one and only time I visited Alum Bay, we walked down to the beach and went back up on a chair lift which faced the cliff instead of the view.
This looks like such a neat place!

This reminds me of a rock formation in Colorado called “The Devil’s Backbone”.
Of course it rises from land, not water (Ha!).
