When It Rains

White-lipped Snail Cepaea hortensis

Yes, when it rains these all come out to play … or eat my garden to the ground. I really like the shell colours and patterns on these.

Very good photo. I guess you can say goodbye to your garden. Ha Lots of rain due here this week.

It’s raining here right now, but I don’t see anything nearly so cute as your snail out playing in the puddles. Even the mallards seem to have gone to bed. This is a pretty one — its shell is a beautiful color.

A lovely image Pete, though I dislike the damage they do to my plants! I throw them over the fence into the field where I hope they find sufficient to eat without returning to my garden!

Thank you Jude 🙂 I thought you was going to say you throw them over the fence into the neighbour’s garden lol! I remember some years back I got a bucket and scoured my garden for all the snails I could find and then took them down the road and released them into the woods. I am sure they managed to find their way back again!
