Now this little spider wasn’t in the green recyling bin, but on the wall of my study. I took it outside to take some snaps. It is one of the ‘Jumping Spiders’, and do they jump!

You were fortunate then to be able to photograph it before it jumped! This one looks particularly hairy.

This one had jumped before I could get a shot in, but managed to settle down on the side of a wall where it felt reasonabl safe., giving me a chance to get a few shots in.

We have a lot of jumping spiders – ours are a darker color. And yes, they really can jump. Nice of you to take him outside where he belongs.

There are a few species here, but I have only seen two species. They can be quite different in colour and pattern, but yes they all jump!

Furry little guy. 🙂 For some reason, I find jumping spiders the most fascinating.
