  1. Is that its tongue I see poking down into that disk flower? What a shot — nice that the ray flowers were few enough for you to capture it from the side.

  2. Nice shot! I find it interesting that the bumble bees and carpenter bees I photograph have black/brown tinted wings versus the clear wings of your bees.

    1. Thank you very much, Jill πŸ™‚ I was lucky with this one. I was actually photographing bumblebees on my lavender and then I spotted this one nearby.
