Nursery Web Spider Pisaura mirabilis II

Nursery Web Spider Pisaura mirabilis

This was quite a nice spring surprise at the start of April. I like how variable the patterning and the colouring can be on these spiders.

Nursery Web Spider Pisaura mirabilis

It belongs to a family called Pisauridae, and there are only 2 British genera.

  1. You seem to be completely surrounded by spiders while I would be happy to catch at least one with my camera πŸ˜• Amazing pictures as always and I’m trying to learn a bit from your fantastic knowledge.

  2. Great photography. It is very impressive how you are able to capture them as small as they are.

I am also amazed that I don’t wake up screaming in the middle of the night dreaming of things with a head full of eyes 😧😧😧

    1. Lol! πŸ™‚ Thank you, Ted πŸ™‚ I have always had interest for the small critters since I was a young boy, so I guess I have got used to them over the years. Now if I went snapping the reptiles you do so well, I might have a different kind of nightmare πŸ™‚
