We have a lichen that’s the same, only different. I know so little about them I can’t tell you any more about ours, but this certainly is lovely. They’re so interesting. Until I started seeing photos like this, I thought of them just as colored patches scattered around, with no detail. Wrong!

Until a few years ago I never really took much notice of lichens but when I did they opened up a whole new, beautiful and interesting world to me.
