You are much too kind Diana, thank you πŸ™‚ I do enjoy some aspects of winter, the lowering sunlight for example, but spring always beckons to me πŸ™‚ If I could hibernate for sure, I think I would lol! πŸ™‚

I think I have been doing just that. Sleeping odd hours, writing bizarre poems haha. Getting dust on lenses. Snowdrops are appearing here, bulbs are bulbing πŸ™‚

Your poems are amazing, as are the images which accompany them perfectly! I cannot believe how quickly this year is going already, and that soon it will be time to bring the clocks forward.

        Thanks from the heart Pete!
Yes, the time change approaches and once again, in my mind the clock hands seem to have a blurred nature to them as time races.

I’ve never seen one of these — they are a beautiful plant. On the other hand, our ten-petal anemones are out, as well as other early spring flowers like buttercups. It won’t be long, now.

I still haven’t seen one of these, but now I know the difference between snowdrops and summer snowflakes (or just snowflakes) which I have seen I have a photo of a some snowflakes I found in a cemetery on Lagniappe — I’m going to add a note with a link to this post, as it will help people who are trying to sort out the difference.

Thank you, Denise πŸ™‚ The max amount of snow I have had here in England is around 4 to 5 inches, and that brought everything to a standstill! Spring will be here before we know it πŸ™‚

A really lovely photo. I tend to see things in plants and flowers and here I see a very rare white, green-spotted hummingbird slurping up nectar from a snowdrop. Even more rare, you caught it at rest! πŸ™‚

Thank you, Adele πŸ™‚ With the temperatures going up last weekend I thought spring had arrived, but it is going to get colder throughout the weekend and the week ahead.

Beautiful photo! We have these starting to grow (despite the snow) here at the gardens, but the photos never turned out for me this year. They planted all of them in such dark, gray, areas!
