Super Blue Blood Moon

Super Blue Blood Moon

Mine was just grey aroudn teatime here. But it was still a super site to witness, especially when one considers the last one was 150 years ago.

January 2018, from rear garden, Staffordshire, England.

  1. Hi Pete. Like your moon. Just stopped by for a short hello. Still working on writing my second book. Am publishing my first book soon. Have missed all of my blogging friends, Hope all is well with you. See this awful flu is as bad in your area as it is here. Stay well. I will stop by again one of these days.

  2. What a great shot, Pete.

I forgot all about the moon, but my younger brother emailed me an image of the blood orange moon and it really does look like blood oranges.

    1. Hi Pete,

I would like to second the comment of Vicki.

This moon in your photo reminds me of the Super Blood Wolf Moon that happened on 20-21 January 2019 at North America, South America, Western Europe, Northwestern Africa. You can see videos of this said moon at my post entitled “If my name were Moon tonightโ€ฆ”, published at

Happy October to both of you!

    1. Thank you, Jill ๐Ÿ™‚ It was a beautiful and peaceful moon, and appeared to be at its largest on rising. I did see it about 3:00 in the morning, but although smaller, it was very bright and awe inspiring.
