  1. This is exquisite. It has a lovely, old-fashioned look about it, which I dearly love. Roses aren’t my favorite flowers for things like china and fabric patterns, but in a garden, they can’t be beat.

    • THank you, Linda ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes, same for me too, with roses, best in the garden. This rose bush is almost eight years old now. I planted it in memory of my dear Mom, and it has always flowered quite well, and for a long period from spring until autumn.

  2. I think I like the buds of roses more than the fully opened (except for those old-fashioned David Austin ones and peonies of course). As the first commenter says, its the anticipation.
