A little further along the Great Orme coastal path this little one bounded out of the scrub. It allowed me a brief few moments into its life in the wild before it hopped out of view.

Nature is so amazing. I had seen quite a few of these rabbits up on the Orme, and I easily lost sight of them as they blended in so well with the landscape.

He is so alert. When my squirrel is sneaking around, he is very alert with eyes wide open too.

Yes. Even all the birds in my backyard are always on alert when they come for my bird feeding!

I lived on the North Wales coast (Kinmel Bay) not too far from Llandudno back in the 70’s when I was a very little lass. We had heaps of Welsh sand rabbits hopping about all over the place, then myxamatosis wiped them all out. Very sad. Glad to see they are still about.

They appeared to have recovered rather well. I spotted several on the Great Orme. I don’t know of Kinmel Bay, but I do love visiting North Wales.
