The Jiggy Woodpigeon

I remember this particular Woodpigeon was trying to figure out a way of getting food from the hanging feeders. They can be clever birds when they want to be, and sometimes they figure out a way as can be seen in the image below, but other times they just can’t seem to make up their mind. I did use a little bit of artistic licence with the video, just for fun πŸ™‚

  2. How did I miss all THIS?!? Music and movies! I must have been on the dark side of the moon or stuffed in a car trunk not to have realized this. You are quite simply amazing. (And what a photographer β€” that upsidedown pigeon made me laugh out loud.) πŸ™‚

  3. Lovely fun video Pete, and the music fits so well with the bobbing pigeon! Great capture of his acrobats on the bird feeder too. I do just love the sound of the wood pigeons; we had two close to the bird table today and I’m hoping they’ll maybe nest nearby.

    • Thank you, Jude. I am pleased you like the video πŸ™‚ I like their call also, and the sound of the Collared Dove. The dove will sometimes sit on our chimney on summer evenings and do his cooing for quite a spell. I saw a couple of woodpigeons in a tree outside my window a few days ago, and I believe they have been buidling a nest, but I also saw a crow there poking around, and I just hope it wasn’t after any eggs.
