We have a wild peach tree and a species of plum tree in the back garden and they are fruiting this time of year, and every year the fruit is decimated by Mousebirds and Grey Louries.
And every year the wife threatens to sort out the birds and cover the trees and she never does!
I shrug …. let the birds enjoy the fruit, it is way too much for us.
Lovely photo, Pete!! 🙂 What kind of fruit tree is it? I have not seen one like it before… 🙂 I enjoy watching the birds eat the tiny red berries on the crabapple tree in my backyard during the winter.
Thank you, Jill 🙂 It is English Ivy, a climbing plant which is growing up the tree trunk. The Ivy gives off plenty of dark fruits for the birds to eat.

There were two of them amongst the ivy, and they kept darting in and out of it playing peek-a-boo.
