Philodromus cespitum
Also called the ‘Running Crab Spider’, this is a pale beige coloured spider with brownish markings which can be variable. Body length up to 6mm.
It feeds on small insects.
Mainly seen spring to summer. Found on low vegetation like bushes and the low boughs of trees. A common and widespread species throughout Britain.
